Baintree Angus - Sires

Over the last five years, we have used a couple of select bulls from Sharpley Black Angus on our commercial herd. In the spring of 2006, we decided to use Sharpley Krugerand on our purebred and commercial heifers and Weston & Sharp on our purebred and commercial cows.

For the 2007 breeding season, we will be using Baintree Kincaid 101S and Young Dale Traveler 94S. Baintree Kincaid 101S was a stand-out from the start. We watched him grow and develop into a big, strong, thick, heavily muscled yearling. 101S had a growth rate of 3.03 lbs per day, weighing in at 1445 lbs, with a scrotum measurement of 37cm on April 25, 2007.

With the purchase of several purebred heifers in the fall of 2006 and already having the sister to Baintree Kincaid 101S, we decided to purchase another herd sire. Young Dale Traveler 94S is a deep sided, clean fronted, good footed, thick bull. His pedigree is very remarkable and when I first saw Young Dale Traveler 94S, I was impressed. His grand sire is Sitz Traveler 043 and his grand dam is Pat Lady Sandra 2C. We feel this sire is the bull to build our herd around.
